Hudson Valley Reapers Return with a Vengeance in PPSHL Debut

The Hudson Valley Reapers are ready to make their mark in their first season in the Power Play Senior Hockey League (PPSHL). Emerging from the legacy of the Hudson Valley Vipers — champions of the APHL’s inaugural season — the Reapers bring a recharged identity, steeped in history, grit, and determination.

The team’s name and look draw inspiration from the Hudson Valley’s historic battlegrounds, where colonial soldiers once fought for freedom and control of the land. The Revolutionary War uniform symbolizes strength, resilience, and power, while the Reapers’ half man, half ghost identity honors the warriors forever tied to that soil. It’s a brand that represents the Hudson Valley Hockey Revolution.

Leadership & Roster
The Reapers will be led by Captain Max Henry, with Assistant Captains Justin Geigel and Rob Clerc forming a strong leadership core. With the team re-launching under a new banner, every player is technically “new” — but the Reapers promise that familiar grit and intensity fans will remember from the Vipers.

Forward Jarrett DiStasi headlines as a player to watch, bringing skill, drive, and an edge that embodies the Reapers’ culture.

Season Goals & Key Matchups
The mission is simple: win the Championship. Anything less, the team says, would be a failure.

Their most anticipated matchup? Holyoke. The rivalry runs deep, with each side defending their home ice in years past. The Reapers are determined to break that trend: “We never beat them in Holyoke, and they never beat us in Hudson Valley. That changes this year. We’ll take them down in their own barn.”

With what they call the deepest roster they’ve ever had, plus a collective chip on their shoulders, the Reapers believe they’re built for the grind of a championship run.

Message to the League
“You saw us as the Vipers. You saw our grit. You saw our packed barn. That was just a warmup for what the Reapers have coming this season,” the team declared.

As for predictions? The message is blunt: “We hope you enjoyed a year without us in the league. It gave you a chance to win. We hope you took advantage of it, because that ends now.”

The Reapers are back — and the PPSHL has officially been put on notice.
